NOVEL IDEA / BIO

Novel Sholars aka Novel Idea is of two soils: the East and West coasts of the U.S. From familial influence, she has a firm footing in the tradition of jazz as well as old school hip-hop, by curiosity.

As an actor trained in the standard methods of theater and movement, and as a graduate of the actors program at Cornish College of the Arts, Novel Idea has more than sufficient artistic qualifications.
Her main flux is the stage, and she has a resume filled with regional theater credits as well as on and off Broadway work to back it up.

As a muse, she has mentored various working actors and film makers. She has also influenced the work of many underground artists as well as the work of those well known in the music, film and theater industries.

Novel Idea has currently metamorphisized into a CEO/Creative Director, web content producer, photographer and promoter, merging all of her talents into one platform.
The 1NMedia platform is an artists’ production company and web-based entertainment window (of which she is the founder) that features a web artist interview series called NSALON.

With years of life experience, a reasonable list of contacts, and with a dynamic team of fellow artists, Novel Idea is poised to make her unique mark curating all genre of art through production and social media.

1N was privileged to capture the “Behind the Scenes” with David E Beats (TheWhiteHouseBand) this past CMJ 2011 @ South Paw. In an up-close and personal interview, he gave an honest and candid account of what it’s really like being on the grind in the industry.
